Geologists must consider a vast number of factors to better understand stratigraphic deposits. Geophysical, lithological, structural and grade data are some of the factors that must be analyzed and evaluated in order to interpret the stratigraphic layers. ODrilllhole Correlation Tool will help geologists meet this challenge. This tool optimizes work and time when correlating data, providing an integrated workflow for importing drillholes, displaying information from the Assay and Geology tables, and uploading the information to the MSTorque database. The tool is integrated with MineSight 3D and MineSight Torque for quick setup and selection of drillholes to be correlated.

Through an interactive and intuitive interface, it is possible to create, edit and review one or more intersection points to eventually form layers along the hole information. The holes are designed vertically and can be moved so that corresponding layers are aligned horizontally. The result of the intersections can be loaded into MineSight Torque for future analysis and applications in other MineSight tools.

As the geologist creates and edits points of intersection, the Drillhole Correlation Tool uses an intuitive set of rules that automatically connect and display the resulting stratigraphic layers.

The Drillhole Correlation Tool features a set of simple validation rules that alert the user when intersections overlap or are inconsistent. In addition, the Strata Statistics Report can be used to obtain basic descriptive statistical analysis on the layers.

The tool stores its own data in a local file, and because it is integrated with MSTorque, MSTorque's user roles and security model are also applied when accessing the data.

The Drillhole Correlation Tool allows geologists greater functionality to model their deposits. This tool is particularly beneficial for customers dealing with stratigraphic deposits such as coal, iron ore and evaporites.

Drillhole Correlation is an excellent collaboration tool that allows you to easily correlate drillholes, creating and analyzing layers to understand the deposit. Be sure to include it in your workflow!
