THE Hexagon Mining brings another great news for MinePlan users. After the insertion of xViewer (a new, more agile and faster Viewer) into the work teaching, starting with version MS3D 10.50, a new Hexagon technology used to visualize point clouds was coupled in a revolutionary way in MinePlan, Point Cloud.
With this new option, you can use RGB channel values to view an impressive amount of detail from any survey technology, be it Laser Scanner or Photogrammetry.
This new technology in MinePlan is available for use together with xViewer, where all MinePlan licenses have this new functionality, as the Point Cloud is available in the component core, existing in all license packages.
To import this data, the user must click on the menu MinePlan -> File -> Create Point Cloud and select the input and output destination, which will be generated in HPC (Hexagon Point Cloud) format. In this interface, the user will correlate the input file columns.
Once the HPC file is created, later you can click on a folder with the right button on a folder -> New -> Point Cloud View.
Visualizations are instantaneous, requiring the use of xViewer to enable the visualization of Point Cloud objects.
Point Cloud together with xViewer has revolutionary technology, which provides fast and dynamic views, for viewing thousands of points directly in MinePlan!
The examples of Point Cloud files listed below illustrate the surveys of stockpiles and an underground gallery, respectively.
This way, the application of this tool goes beyond the mine routine, being able to import point clouds from different surveys. With the use of MPDART it is possible to perform mathematical operations on the initial data by transforming the information of the various spectrometric bands in the input data. In this way, it is possible to compose bands to highlight some specific property and thus improve the delineation of contacts between desired zones.
Furthermore, Point Cloud files already have full integration with Point Cloud Mesher. Point Cloud Mesher is a simple application tool, created with the aim of facilitating and improving work with large surfaces. It offers MinePlan users the ability to triangulate from a 3D perspective from large point cloud data. Three-dimensional representations of underground cavities, tunnels, complex topography and a high level of detail can be easily and quickly generated while preserving their original characteristics. Hexagon Mining once again revolutionizes bringing integration and agility to the visualization of large point clouds. Point Cloud is available in all MinePlan package licenses with valid maintenance and from version 10.50 of MP3D.
