MineSight is a comprehensive platform that meets all needs on a mining project and is widely used for sample database, modelling, mine planning, design and sequencing.

In this Tips & Tricks, we will highlight some tools for block model preparation, as well as show the various options for editing, coding and viewing the models.

For block model initialization and editing, creating new variables, changing block boundaries and dimensions, cloning and copying existing models, etc.; we rely on the practicality of the tool Model Manager.

The tool Model Manager, has an intuitive interface, in which you can easily create models of the types GSM, GSF, 3DBM, create models compressed, Sub-blocks and also makes it possible to clone models.

According to the types of models, MineSight has several ways to encode the block model, which can be from surfaces, polygons and solids. Among the various types of encoding, we highlight the most used: code by majority, code and percents in majority order, total percent within solids, among other methods for building single and multi-ore percent, sub-blocked, statigraphic models and compressed.

In addition to all the editing and coding facilities, there is also customization of the model view, with several options that allow showing blocks in different formats, highlighting variables from custom color cutoffs and filters, displaying text boxes, creating Grid Shell and other options for various purposes such as validations, pit optimizations, sequencing, plotting, etc.
