D&T Promines | Check/Condition Surfaces Tool

Check/Condition Surfaces Tool: Possibility to check and correct multiple solids and surfaces at the same time. Did you know that it is possible to check and correct the conditions of several surfaces or solids in your MinePlan Project at the same time? When working with a surface or a solid in MinePlan, this element may present some inconsistencies, such as containing openings, duplicated elements, or even intersecting itself. The Check/Condition Surfaces Tool is accessed from the Surface menu and allows you to check the quality of multiple solids or surfaces at the same time. This tool has several options available that allow you to report and fix any problems that the functions reveal. It is not necessary to select surfaces/solids to use this tool, and elements can be selected directly from the Viewer or through the Object Content Browser (OCB). Verification parameters can be…

D&T Promines | Autoslicer using Reserves

Autoslicer using Reserves: Possibility of generating cuts with a defined mass. Did you know that it is possible to generate cuts in a simple and quick way considering a certain mass? Autoslicer (Utilities menu) is a tool that allows you to cut solids or polygons based on different parameters, also defining a cutting direction and being able to automatically assign names to each one of them. Among the options for making the cuts, on the Target tab there is the Reserves option that allows the user to enter a mass (in tons) in which the cuts will be made. For this option it is necessary, at the bottom of the tool, to select a reserve logic, so that the defined mass of the cuts is calculated according to the density of the block model. Figure 1: Autoslicer using the Reserves option. In this way,…

D&T Promines | Multiple Viewers

Multiple Viewers: Possibility of working with more than one Viewer. Did you know that it is possible to use more than one viewer in your MinePlan project? The xViewer is your project's data visualization window. In MinePlan it is possible to work with several, making it possible to carry out a more complete analysis of your project. Just as the Data Manager, properties window and Message Window can be moved from their default location, the viewer also has this option, and can be moved and allocated as desired by the user. Along with the xViewers, there is the Visibility Bar window that allows the management of the visibility of geometric objects, independently, between the different xViewers. The Visibility Bar displays all objects that are open in the Data Manager, and these objects are presented according to the visualization settings applied by the user. Figure 1:…

D&T Prominas | Hot Key Assignment

D&T Prominas | Hot Key Assignment: Assigning keyboard shortcuts to MinePlan. Did you know that within MP3D there is a set of shortcut keys already configured to optimize access to the various tools and resources present in the software? In addition to the shortcuts configured by the PopUp Menu for the right mouse button, MP3D also has a quick and easy way to assign and use keyboard shortcuts. A set of shortcuts already exists, having been configured to optimize access to several tools present in the software. The complete list can be found through the menu Help > Hot Key Help Dialog, and we can see some examples below: Figure 1: Examples of shortcuts. To create new shortcuts, the Hot Key Assignment feature in the Help menu allows the user to define custom shortcuts according to use, through…

Discover the Complete Coordinates Conversion Tool

D&T Prominas | Coordinate System Manager: Conversion of Complete Coordinates (UTM E, N, Z and Geographic) Did you know that MinePlan has a complete coordinate conversion tool so that your data is always correctly georeferenced? This is the Coordinate System Manager, present in the MP3D's File menu. With this tool, you can create DATUM UTM conversions to import and export data. The External Coordinate System field represents the DATUM used in the data to be imported or exported (external in another datum), while the Project Coordinate System field is the system used in your MinePlan project, which is the base DATUM. As all 3D design software uses UTM coordinates to represent the Cartesian plane and thus reduce internal processing, the use of geographic coordinates has always been hidden behind indirect conversions and…

D&T Prominas | MinePlan Schedule Optimizer – MultiPeriod.

D&T Prominas | MinePlan Schedule Optimizer – MultiPeriod. MinePlan Schedule Optimizer (MPSO) is the most complete tool for short, medium and long term sequencing. It stands out not only for its ease and excellent results in conventional sequencing, but also for opening up a horizon of new possibilities. We would like to introduce the MultiPeriod, which allows the grouping of periods so that the calculations are made in global periods, and not unitary as traditionally done, which results in the best results for the proposed objectives. With the MultiPeriod option, the sequencing will visualize the following periods, such as, for example, guaranteeing enough material to feed the plant in the last periods and also certifying the correct mining time for a specific sterile region. The MultiPeriod function is located at the top of the MPSO, in the Schedule Calculation tab. By clicking…

D&T Prominas | Connecting Workflows: Integration between HxGN MinePlan 3D and Leica Cyclone 3DR

D&T Prominas | Connecting Workflows: Integration between HxGN MinePlan 3D and Leica Cyclone 3DR The use of 3D laser survey technology in mining is constantly growing, with the need to process and transfer this data from the field to stakeholders as quickly as possible. The integration of HxGN MinePlan 3D and Leica Cyclone 3DR connects the powerful point cloud capabilities of 3DR with MinePlan's comprehensive planning and engineering processes. Figure 1: 3DR Overview With this integration, users can import point cloud data, clean the data, create/update surfaces, send the surfaces directly to MinePlan 3D and seamlessly incorporate them into daily planning and/or workflows. job. The video summarizes an example workflow: Import field point cloud data to…

D&T Prominas | Data Manager

D&T Prominas | Data Manager – Project Map Chooser. Did you know that you can save and switch multiple project views using the Project Map Chooser tool? The Project Map Chooser is located at the top of the Data Manager, where the project structure is displayed. The Save button allows the current view to be saved in the project directory, it has a *.msm extension and allows the saved view to be opened, for example, when restarting MinePlan. Figure 1 – Data Manager Another option available in Data Manager is the Search Object Name button (CTRL + F), which works as a search tool to locate objects within the project. Figure 2 – Search Project Objects can be found using full names and wildcards, such as “*” for full replacement and “$” for single-character replacements. To…

Sigma3

D&T Prominas | Sigma

D&T Prominas | Sigma: Parameterization Curve. Did you know that MinePlan has its own tool to perform statistical and geostatistical analysis of all your data? Sigma is the ideal solution for validating and parameterizing data. You can view data from tables, the MPTorque database, and the 3D block model. The tool allows the creation of statistical graphs such as histograms, Box Plots, Scatter Plots, for example, as well as geostatistical ones, such as variographic maps and Contact Plots. An important analysis is performed from the Grade Tonnage Curve, the parameterization curve. This curve is used to determine a cut-off grade value to be used in the mining operation. Figure 1: Sigma top menu To generate a Grade Tonnage Curve, simply select the icon on the top bar, assign a name…

D&T Prominas | Test One Block

D&T Prominas | Test One Block – Checking the logic in a block in Model Calculation Tools. Did you know that it is possible to test the calculation logic before starting the process to calculate the entire block model? This test allows you to perform the calculation on only a selected block and carry out the validation. Model Calculation Tools (MCT) is a MinePlan tool used to perform calculations on block models. These calculations can be described using QuickCalc or Python scripts. In addition, calculations can be limited to an area of the block model through conditionals or using filters such as polygons, solids or surface. To validate the calculation you can use the Test One Block option, as shown in the figure below: Figure 1: Execution of Test One Block. So, did you like this tip?…
